Why Portraits?

Let me be cliche for a moment just to say the words "Life happens in a flash" (get it? LOL).

A lot of people ask me why I love taking pictures of people, and I really only have one answer:

Photographs freeze people into a timeline in their life that they will never ever get back. That person might live long enough to see the reactions of their grandchildren looking back at their photos, or on the other hand, that person's family might use their photograph to commemorate/ remember them when they're gone. Life is too short. It's even shorter when you don't get photographed.
